My Story

I've always been fond of baking, even as a child. Whilst my mum would bake in the kitchen I would pretend to feed her what I created.  I now have the same experience with my own daughter and she gets to share this journey with me. Baking runs in the family. Its something we all enjoy doing.

I have held  charity bakes, for Great Ormond Street Hospital, for the crisis in Syria, Save the Children and the Austrailian Bushfires. I held a stall for 'A Cup of Cake' in Croydon, surrey street market. Also holding stalls for the local community, such as christmas stalls, summer fetes stalls, being part of the community is important to me. I intend to hold future stalls at various venues and events.

I have been running this business for 4 years and I'm aiming to make it grow, by continually learning and improving this field to deliver great tasting and great looking cakes. Its the art that I have discovered in me, which will enable me to produce amazing cakes.A Cup of cake is a cake business that creates everything by hand, everything is made from scratch, from the cake to the models, the flowers, using buttercream, flower paste and fondant.  Using only the best quality, using fresh ingredients to create with.

I am registered with Croydon Council (Food Hygiene rating of 5), public liabilty insurance, registered with HMRC, and hold a food hygiene level 2 certificate.
